Summary and Connection to Learning Objectives
The Foreward and introduction to, “Will the Fourth Industrial Revolution Bring about a Wonderful World?” in your reader contemplate the role of technology in our social systems. The anthropological readings in Section 2 of the reader also examine our history and how technological tools and artifacts shaped, improved, but also complicated our lives. The lecture on Theories provides information on the framework we have for understanding technology’s impact on our lives through the theories of social constructionism and technological determinism.

Initial Response Requirements
Based on the readings and other materials for Module 1, answer the question, “Will the fourth industrial revolution bring about a wonderful world?” with researched opinion explaining your answer while also connecting your response to one of the technology and society theories (approx. 250 words).
1) Answer the above question as yes or no, then explain your response through the critical analysis of at least one reading (other than “Will the fourth industrial revolution bring about a wonderful world?”) in any section of your Technology & Society reader (6 points).
2) Use one of the theories of technology and society – social constructionism or technological determinism to provide a framework for your answer; more specifically, please label, define, and explain how you incorporated a theoretical framework into your answer (6 points).
