Photography Response Paper

The instructor gave us a number of artists and I have already choose one from them, so write about this artist, named Soher Nishino, and the photo I attached.

We will be looking at a number of Artists in class from which you will select one to write a personal response paper of two pages or roughly 850-1000 words in length. We want to hear from YOU. Each of you has a particular perspective you bring to the work, and the assignment is to indulge in that. You can think of it as a review rather than an academic paper. You can focus on a few (3-4) individual images from one of the artists. Point out the things you feel are working well in the photographs/series. You can also include more critical notes, maybe things that you’d change if you were making the pictures yourself. How do the photographs relate to your work? To your life? Why do they/do they not resonate with you? Again, these aren’t required questions to answer, but they’re a place to start if you’re not sure where to begin. Look at the work, think about it, and write down your personal take. Simply put, write why you like the artist you chose and elaborate upon it. Please embed photos to cite specifics.
