Culminating Assignment – Report on Your Personalized Approach to Management/Discipline (20 points: 16 points for the report + 4 points for the citations/references):
For this course, you will examine various classroom management and discipline programs. Building on the readings, discussions, and activities you have engaged in during the semester, you will develop/define/refine your own personal discipline system that is consistent with your philosophy, preferences, personality, and teaching style and suited to the age level and socio‐cultural background of the students in your classroom and/or school. You will use the planning rubric described in the text to structure your plan, but you should draw upon resources beyond the text. Use APA format for citations/references. You will submit your discipline system as a written report [6‐7 pages]. For detailed instructions on completing this assignment, see the associated course information in Chapter 14, pages 291-304. You will find the rubrics and discussion points located there.
As you prepare your report, you will use the planning rubric described in the text to structure your plan, but you should draw upon resources beyond the text. You must have a minimum of 5 sources plus the text. Properly cite your sources within your paper and provide a list of references on a separate page at the end of your paper.
