this is the second assignment
n this module you will create a 500 word paper on the functionality of music. This document will be created in four stages:
1. Collection of information (25 points)
2. Outline (25 points)
3. First Draft (50 points)
4. Final version (100 points)
For this assignment you will use information collected in assignment 1 to create an outline for your paper on the functionality of music. The outline will help you decide how you want to describe the functionality of music in your life. You might choose to go in chronological order through your day, from waking up in the morning until you go to bed at night. Or you might pick out the points in the day that you really integrate music into your life and describe them in order of importance. The outline should help you organize how you want to present the material. Make sure to provide details about the activities you engage in that involve music. Also, make sure that the relationships between the types of music you listen to and the activities are clear. This type of analysis will be needed on future assignments. Try not to edit as you write. Just start describing your life and your music. The first ideas that come to mind are often the best.
Your outline should have an introduction, body, and conclusion.
Introduction
The introduction should have some of the following elements, depending on the type of paper:
You may want to begin by introducing a song and telling us a story about your day that is associated with that song. This should paint a picture of the event and get us interested in learning more about your day and your music.
Body
Using bullet points, tell us the main points of your day by describing various events and the music associated with them. The body of the paper should have several paragraphs which add detail to your story. Be sure to describe the music and the situations in detail.
Conclusion
This is where you tie things together for us. You might tell us about how the events associated with the music you have shared shaped your day.
There are numerous examples of outlines online that you can refer to.
